The title of KC, which entitles the bearer to address the highest court in the U.K., the Privy Council, has been bestowed on fewer than one percent of The Bahamas’ practicing attorneys.

Ms. Cartwright’s responsibilities involve advising on multi-jurisdictional legal issues, and acting as a Pupil Master. Her areas of practice include Insolvency and Liquidations, International Commercial Litigation, International Commercial Transactions, as well as limited work with Conveyance, Mortgage and Property Law. Ms. Cartwright has served as an Acting Deputy Registrar of the Court of Appeal, served as Chairman and Board member on various government bodies, and was the founding Vice-President of the Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers.

She then pursued a Bachelor of Law with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies in 2015 then attended the Eugene Dupuch Law School where she received a Legal Education Certificate in 2017, the same year she was called to The Bahamas Bar. She has served as president and public relations officer at the University of the West Indies at The College of The Bahamas Law Society.
